About

About The AI Professionals

We are a Geneva-based nonprofit working on the thoughtful integration of AI into everyday life and institutions. Our approach combines public-facing education, applied research, and frameworks grounded in investigations and risk practice.

Why Geneva

Embedded in the ecosystem

Much of the global conversation on AI governance, digital rights, and youth protection happens here, the ITU, the UN, the ICRC, and the AI for Good Global Summit are all based in the city.

Being embedded in this ecosystem is deliberate: it places our work close to the institutions that shape how AI is governed internationally, and to the communities most affected by how it is deployed.

Our view of the problem

The quieter risks

The most pressing risks from AI in the coming years may not be the dramatic ones. They may be the quieter ones:

a generation that stops developing independent judgment because AI can do the thinking acceptably well, and a technical field that deploys increasingly autonomous systems faster than the institutions needed to investigate them when things go wrong.

Team

Founding phase

The AI Professionals is in its founding phase. Our team draws on experience from the tech industry, international security organizations, peace-building work under the UN Peace, Youth and Security Agenda, and the academic study of responsible AI.

We are actively building out our founding team across AI policy, youth education, research, and operations.

If that describes you, write to us at [email]. Fuller biographies will be published as the founding team is confirmed.

Structure

An umbrella organisation

The AI Professionals operates as an umbrella organization. Skeptia is our flagship education program, and our research track on agentic AI investigations is our second area of active work. Additional programs will be launched as capacity and partnerships allow.
